I am an Southern California owner of a 2011 Nissan Leaf SL. I purchased this vehicle in April 2011 and to date, I have over 20k miles on the vehicle after over 1 1/2 years. My typical commute/use each day is around 40 miles, mainly rush hour traffic freeway driving.
Nissan's reluctance to do anything about resolving my deteriorating battery issue has led me to start a blog to let the world know about the issues happening with my car and other Leaf users.

Terrible battery
Tell me this isn't normal. With this efficiency I should get much more range than this.
Yes I've realized that. I lost one bar when Nissan did something to the software the last time I took it in. The first few times they reset the software, but the last time they did something and I lost one bar.
Typically I would easily see 100+ miles range when I drive it from my house in the morning. Now I see only 70+ miles. This is with the same driving pattern/style. I used to easily be able to get 80+ miles before the car would tell me low battery. Now I drive 55-60 miles and it already tells me low range.
You know you've lost a capacity bar right?
